How to verify a digital diploma
A short walkthrough for employers and admissions teams verifying a blockchain-anchored university diploma with BlockSys.
By BlockSys
You received a digital diploma from a candidate. How do you know it was not edited after the university issued it?
Step 1 — Open the public verifier
Go to blocksys.tech/en/verify. You do not need an account.
Step 2 — Upload the credential package
Use the JSON / credential file the graduate shared, or follow the QR link printed on the diploma PDF.
Step 3 — Read the result
A successful check confirms the content fingerprint still matches the blockchain record created at issuance. A failure means the file no longer matches what the institution sealed.
Tips for admissions and hiring teams
- Prefer the graduate’s original package over a screenshot.
- Treat verification as complementary to your existing background checks—not a replacement for transcript requests when your process requires them.
- If verification fails, ask the graduate to re-download from their issuer or contact the registrar’s office.
